Is there somewhere I can get hold of a new Touch Screen driver?  I have been looking for the driver for a while but can not find it and the one on the support site don't work when I download it.

@rshay2000,

Thank you for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. I see that you are having issues with the touch screen not working on your HP All in one PC. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Have you recently made any changes on the PC before the issue started?

Did you check if the touch screen works in the Bios or not?

Have you tried to test the Touch screen from F2?

Did you try to update the Bios?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Let’s start with performing a hard reset to release any excessive static/power that could have caused the issue:

  1. Click the Start button, then click Power.

  2. Click Restart.

  3. Wait while the computer turns off, and then restarts.

  4. Tap the screen to see if it responds. If it does not, continue.

Enable Touch screen driver in Device manager:

  1. In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

  2. Expand the Human Interface Devices heading.

  3. The touch screen device is labeled HID-compliant touch screen, or similar. Right-click the touch screen device.

  4. If the option to enable the device is included in the menu, click Enable.

Enable HID-compliant touch screen in Device Manager

Reinstall the touch screen drivers in Device manager:

Reinstall the original touch screen device driver that came installed on your computer using the following steps:

  1. In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

  2. Expand the Human Interface Devices heading.

  3. The touch screen device is labeled HID-compliant touch screen, or similar. Right-click the touch screen device and select Uninstall.

Uninstall HID-compliant touch screen in Device Manager

  4. Confirm the uninstallation.

  5. Once done, restart the computer and then update the Bios, Chipset, graphics, touchscreen drivers.

Once done, restart the computer and check.

If the issue persists, I recommend checking if the Touch is working on BIOS (Accessed by tapping on F10 while restarting the computer).

If it works on bios, it's a software issue, update the drivers from the HP Website, if the issue persists: please reinstall windows using the recovery partition or the recovery media to fix the issue

Attempt to run a test using the HP hardware diagnostic tool

If it doesn't work on BIOS or the diagnostics tool either, it's a possible hardware failure.
